The Publishing Process

Send us your proposal (see Submissions page). If you've gotten our interest, we'll ask to see the complete manuscript. This is submitted as a PDF file locked against editing. We require that you Copyright the manuscript before sending it to us. (We can help.)

     We'll review the manuscript for quality and suitability and let you know if we want to publish it, with an estimated timeframe. 

Once you let us know what you can do (like hiring editors or proofreaders), and what you'll need us to do, we'll provide our current "a la carte" pricing for services and let you decide what services you need. Then we'll prepare a customized Publishing Agreement.  You can choose to do a print edition, an eBook edition, or both.

     Once the Agreement is finalized, we'll prepare your book for publication. You will be consulted regularly along the way, and we'll answer your questions as we go.

Working with you to make sure the work is properly edited and proofread, we'll finalize layout and design, and secure and register a unique ISBN for each edition.

     We'll work with you to create a professional cover, which we must approve. We will also send you a final book proof for you to approve before actual production begins.

When you have approved the proof, your book will be put into production using a Print On Demand system. If you have chosen to do an eBook edition, we'll help you have a professional conversion made, including an eBook cover.

    Once the book is in production, it will go into the distribution system and will be available for order both online and through many bookstores. 

As sales occur, we'll report them to you quarterly. As we collect sales proceeds from the retailers and distributors, we'll forward the royalty payments to you.
